OH U ........ !!!!!!

Freeland travelled to OUP in the league looking to keep their winning run going.
The reds were confident going into this one as they hadn’t conceded a league goal this year.
No sooner had the game started and they found themselves behind after a fantastic ball in from the left and the OUP striker Ghosted in to score. The away side finding themselves 1-0 after 2 mins.
A terrible start for the reds and it was only to get worse as they found themselves 2-0 down after an awful mix-up in defence gifting the OUP striker a second goal leaving the awayside a mountain to climb and management in total shock.
Then in all fairness the reds did start to get a foothold in the game as they couldn’t have been any worse than they were in the first 15 mins. The goal did come for Freeland and it was Dean Mays who manged to finish from 12 yards right footed after a scramble in the box fell to the Midfielder.
Then Freeland really did start to apply the pressure and were rewarded with their second soon after with a great finish from Danny Taylor who lobbed the rushing keeper from 20 yards.
Freeland decided to then let OUP score a goal identical to the first. Another great ball into the box from the left leaving the centre half to pick his spot.
Halftime and Freeland found themselves 3-2 Down. It was safe to say that assist Manager Darren MacNamara was not at all happy with how the events of the first half had unfolded.
He then proceeded to tell the side exactly what he thought of the display and how we should perform in the second half to put it right. I for one did agree with everything that was said and the lads took it on the chin and gave a lot better account of themselves second half.
So, we go again and substitute Simon Calley scores with a great header from a superb corner from the left-hand side.
3-3 were Freeland going to get themselves out of Jail.??? No is the answer as they concede a deflected shot from fully 25yards finding the top corner of the net.
Before that Freeland had missed lots of Guilt edge chances to put the game to bed.
Hugely disappointing and a tough pill to swallow after being in such a great position this season.
The reds will need to get another run going and it must start this weekend in their huge Charity cup semi-final against Carterton A from the Witney and district.
I expect to see a reaction. A good one at that. See you Saturday Looking forward to putting this bad result to bed.
