CARTETON CRUISE PAST FREELAND TO WIN TITLE

Carteton A 4 - 0 Freeland A

Not much to report in this game, Freeland were beaten by a better team, out battled and out classed. Freeland were a goal down within a minute, and were always going to struggle from then on.

The skipper performed admirably, as did Langford and Tomas, but nobody was on top form and Carteton took full advantage of this.

Carteton rattled four goals past Freeland without a reply and certainly proved they were worthy champions of what has been an exciting title race. Although not at the races today Freeland should take a lot from this season, and to have been in the title hunt with only two games to go of the season was a great effort from all involved.
