ONE FOR THE MONEY AND THE FREE RIDE??p>
Yarnton Res 0 - 1 Freeland??p>
Due to a number of injuries a reshuffled Freeland team went to Yarnton. The defence had been reshaped and was one of the most experienced (by that I mean oldest players) this season.??p>
Freeland came racing out of the starting blocks and played some good football and were a goal up after eight minutes when Bradley Woodridge powerfully headed home from a Gary Brooks corner. Paul Salter was unlucky not to double the lead soon after from a fine solo effort.??p>
We seemed to think another goal would be easy but the longer the game went on, the more ragged we became with passes going astray. The pitch did not help a passing team ??? it resembled a parsnip patch that had been dug over! ??p>
Half time score 0-1??p>
In the second half Ben Glastonbury replaced JJ Harriot and linked well with the impressive Paul Salter. ??p>
As the game went on, Yarnton became stronger and in the final minutes our Keeper Jamie Perkin was called into action, but our defence held out with some tired legs. ??p>
This was not a pretty game but we won and picked up points. ??p>
Final score 0-1??p>
Game won ??? three points ??? job done - move on??p>
