FREELAND RESPOND WELL AFTER A LAY OFF TO WIN A TOP OF THE TABLE CLASH??p>
Freeland 3 - 0 Bletchingdon Res??p>
A Freeland side having not played for a number of weeks welcomed Bletchingdon Reserves to a sell out at The Simon Hole Memorial Ground. This was the proverbial six pointer and with both teams realizing this they played some great attacking football. Roared on by the vocal crowd both teams created a number of chances, in the thirty-third minute it was Freeland who got the breakthrough when Gary Brooks powered a free kick into the area and Italian international Chris Palmer was on hand to head home.??p>
Following the goal Freeland settled down and started to play the samba football that they have become reknowned for and they went in at the break a goal to the good. After the break Freeland started well and the promise of a crucial second goal was on the cards and Matty Longfords boys turned the screw.??p>
The second goal eventually came in the fifty-eigth minute when some sloppy defending allowed Palmer to sneak in and head home from six yards. Freeland were in full flow now, and with a two goal cushion they started to play some great football. Freeland notched a third when the red hot Palmer played a precision ball through to Jay The Prophet Harriott who slotted past the keeper. A fine ball by Palmer was the icing on the cake for a gret individual performance from the Chilliman.??p>
Freeland saw out the remainder of the match and sealed themselves a crucial win. Both teams had played some good football and the match was enjoyed by all the spectators in what was a great advert for local football.??p>
